Why I developed this product
About a week after starting Junior Kindergarten in the fall of 2000, my niece came home with a letter informing us that she had lice! So, we bought the shampoo, treated her hair, picked out the lice, cleaned and disinfected everything she'd been in contact with and thought, "Great, it's gone!", but they were back a week later so we treated everything again... This went on for months!
At this point I said, "Enough!" I promised my niece that I would find a way to end this nightmare. I declared WAR on these tiny little critters!
I started by reading everything I could find about lice and the ingredients in the products used to kill them. I was extremely concerned when I discovered how many harmful chemicals are included in most remedies. After all, we're putting this stuff on our children!!!! "There must be some way to combine the right amount of All-Natural and Organic products to kill lice," I thought.
My 1st step was to collect lice and nits/eggs, put them into dishes, add different combination of products, and monitor the bugs' reaction. (My friends and family thought I was completely crazy! They call me, "The Bug Lady!") It took some time, but I found a combination of products that seemed to work. So we used it. Three months later...no lice.
